Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Burt Procter could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Western Art auction, the work The Big Country changed hands for USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,025.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Burt Procter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cowboy on horseback, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 8,200.00 (€ 7,320.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Burt Procter konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Western Art wechselte die Arbeit The Big Country für USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.025,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Burt Procter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cowboy on horseback beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 8.200,00 (€ 7.320,77) versteigert wurde.
