Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Woman seated by Bror Hjorth was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,273.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bror Hjorth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Blå Eva" in April 2016 with an auction result of SEK 2,400,000.00 (€ 261,165.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Woman seated von Bror Hjorth im November 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.273,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bror Hjorth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Blå Eva" im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.400.000,00 (€ 261.165,98).
