This artwork by Brice Marden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in January 2024. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Distant Muses (G. 1881) sold for GBP 5,334.00 (€ 8,927.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brice Marden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 11 (to Léger) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 16,999,000.00 (€ 15,060,689.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Brice Marden erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Distant Muses (G. 1881) für GBP 5.334,00 (€ 8.927,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brice Marden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 11 (to Léger) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.999.000,00 (€ 15.060.689,29).
