This artwork by Brian Wall achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2007. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 18,615.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Brian Wall; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Slab, Wedge And Circle sold at auction in July 2008 with the realized price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,939.06).
