Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gerroff That Bloody Cart by Brian Shields was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 9,437.50 (€ 10,406.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Shields - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Terraces And Mills, which sold at auction in December 2013 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,056.90).
