Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Pool Of Light 2 by Brian Dunlop for AUD 179.25 (€ 104.41). This price was achieved in the auction COLES MYER COLLECTION at Christies in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Dunlop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eumeralla 2 in May 2002 with an auction result of AUD 19,387.50 (€ 11,750.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pool Of Light 2 von Brian Dunlop für AUD 179,25 (€ 104,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion COLES MYER COLLECTION bei Christies in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Dunlop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eumeralla 2 im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 19.387,50 (€ 11.750,00).
