Auction result well in line with expectations
The work David Bowie, Aladdin Sane, Contact Sheet, 1973 by Brian Duffy was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,638.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Duffy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Bowie, "Aladdin Sane" (Eyes Open), which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 47,812.50 (€ 41,388.94).

Die Arbeit David Bowie, Aladdin Sane, Contact Sheet, 1973 von Brian Duffy wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.638,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
