The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,454.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Brian Ballard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2004 the work Magnolias in a jug was auctioned for GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,530.35).
