Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Seated Girl by Brian Ballard for GBP 375.00 (€ 478.07). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Ballard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnolias in a jug in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,530.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seated Girl von Brian Ballard für GBP 375,00 (€ 478,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Ballard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnolias in a jug im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.019,00 (€ 7.530,35).
