Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Silver With Fruit by Brian Ballard was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,210.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Brian Ballard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnolias in a jug in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,530.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Silver With Fruit von Brian Ballard wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.210,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Brian Ballard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnolias in a jug im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.019,00 (€ 7.530,35).
