Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2003 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Reflection of Concrete and Glass by Brendan Neiland. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 921.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brendan Neiland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (cityscape), which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,961.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reflection of Concrete and Glass von Brendan Neiland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 921,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Brendan Neiland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (cityscape) beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.961,94) versteigert wurde.
