Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Asteroid And Kidney Stone by Boyd Webb for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,643.12). This price was achieved in the auction The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Boyd Webb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Judy in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 9,987.50 (€ 10,988.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Asteroid And Kidney Stone von Boyd Webb für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.643,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Boyd Webb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Judy im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.987,50 (€ 10.988,56).
