Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Village Market by Boris Grigoriev. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,636.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Grigoriev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russianshepherd Of The Hills in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,722,500.00 (€ 2,932,487.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village Market von Boris Grigoriev zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.636,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Grigoriev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russianshepherd Of The Hills im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.722.500,00 (€ 2.932.487,79).
