Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Sailors by Boris Grigoriev was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,872.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Grigoriev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russianshepherd Of The Hills in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,722,500.00 (€ 2,932,487.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Sailors von Boris Grigoriev wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.872,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Grigoriev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russianshepherd Of The Hills im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.722.500,00 (€ 2.932.487,79).
