Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Snowman by Bonnie Collura was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,875.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bonnie Collura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pursuit Of Happiness, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,835.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Snowman von Bonnie Collura im April 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bonnie Collura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pursuit Of Happiness beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.835,08) versteigert wurde.
