two etchings from the set of 14, 1611, on laid paper, with a Palmette in Jar watermarks (?), trimmed to the image, central vertical creases, plate 16 with a rust spot, otherwise in good condition; with two works by Jan van de Capelle after Jan van Goyen, River Landscape with Ferry Boat (D. 1) and Landscape with a Stone Bridge (D. 5), on laid paper, D. 5 with a small tape stain below, generally in good condition; with another Landscape after Jacques de Gheyn

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Two Plates from: Pastorals (Holl. 338, 339) by Boëtius Adam Bolswert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 932.47), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Boëtius Adam Bolswert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Großes ländliches Fest in einem Schlosspark, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 3,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Plates from: Pastorals (Holl. 338, 339) von Boëtius Adam Bolswert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 932,47) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Boëtius Adam Bolswert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Großes ländliches Fest in einem Schlosspark beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 3.500,00 versteigert wurde.
