Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bel Atlas by Bodys Isek Kingelez was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 69,595.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Bodys Isek Kingelez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Pacific Art - 1989 was auctioned for EUR 71,500.00.
