Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Outlaw by Bob Scriver was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 549.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bob Scriver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Honest Try in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,182.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Outlaw von Bob Scriver im Februar 2019 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 549,26) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bob Scriver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Honest Try im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.182,18).
