Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Frontier Scout 15 in. high by Bob Scriver was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 357.00 (€ 333.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bob Scriver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Honest Try in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,182.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Frontier Scout 15 in. high von Bob Scriver im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 357,00 (€ 333,71) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bob Scriver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Honest Try im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.182,18).
