Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bob Carlos Clarke could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Cry Baby, 1995 changed hands for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,347.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Carlos Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Vanessa And Vicky Kissing', 2002, which sold at auction in February 2017 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,092.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bob Carlos Clarke konnte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in Britain wechselte die Arbeit Cry Baby, 1995 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.347,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Carlos Clarke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Vanessa And Vicky Kissing', 2002 beobachtet, die im Februar 2017 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.092,60) versteigert wurde.
