Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Jesus by Blek le Rat was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 225.00 (€ 242.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Blek le Rat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Tango À Paris - 2016 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 49,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Jesus von Blek le Rat im März 2009 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 225,00 (€ 242,63) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Blek le Rat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Last Tango À Paris - 2016 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.400,00.
