This artwork by Bita Vakili achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2011. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II auction, the work without title sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,095.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bita Vakili; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dreaming New York sold at auction in April 2012 with the realized price of USD 45,000.00 (€ 34,016.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bita Vakili erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 35.000,00 (€ 25.095,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bita Vakili; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dreaming New York im April 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 34.016,18).
