Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Changing Mood, Changing Attitude by Birgit Megerle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,980.20), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Birgit Megerle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel (The Architect of Happiness and Failure)., which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 6,192.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Changing Mood, Changing Attitude von Birgit Megerle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.980,20) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Birgit Megerle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel (The Architect of Happiness and Failure). beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 6.192,00 versteigert wurde.
