In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection, which included the work January by Biren De. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,735.11), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Biren De - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September '73, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 67,661.49).

Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit January von Biren De zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.735,11) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Biren De mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit September '73 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 67.661,49) versteigert wurde.
