This artwork by Billie Waters achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2007. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Fishing nets at harbour, Cornwall sold for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,336.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Billie Waters; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sagittarius, 1930S sold at auction in March 2014 with the realized price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,897.51).
