Each signed, dated, numbered in pencil and copyright credit edition stamp on the verso. Each from an edition of 15 plus 3 artist's proofs.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Bill Owens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2008. In the Photographs auction, the work Selected Images from Suburbia sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,827.79) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bill Owens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Suburbia, 1973 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 71,292.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bill Owens erzielte im Oktober 2008 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Selected Images from Suburbia für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.827,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Owens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Suburbia, 1973 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 71.292,78).
