Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Boardwalk I by Bill Jacklin was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, London auction at Christies in London in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 31,724.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bill Jacklin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2011 the work The Black Umbrella, Times Square III was auctioned for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).

Die Arbeit The Boardwalk I von Bill Jacklin wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 31.724,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
