Auction result well in line with expectations
The work CB8 SH5 N24, 1999-2000 by Bill Henson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,252.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Henson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 1987-88, which sold at auction in May 2005 for AUD 45,410.00 (€ 27,913.78).
