Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Bharti Kher. The price achieved of GBP 18,125.00 (€ 20,484.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bharti Kher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bharti Kher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.125,00 (€ 20.484,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bharti Kher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Skin Speaks A Language Not Its Own im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55).
