Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work See Through by Beth Campbell was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 673.97). Admittedly, works by Beth Campbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Potential Future Based on Present Circumstances in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,774.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit See Through von Beth Campbell im März 2009 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 625,00 (€ 673,97) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Beth Campbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Potential Future Based on Present Circumstances im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.774,23).
