Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Thinking out of the Box? by Besta Bestrizal was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,866.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Besta Bestrizal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unity in Diversity - Brings Us To the Top of the Sky, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 32,299.55).

Die Arbeit Thinking out of the Box? von Besta Bestrizal wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.866,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Besta Bestrizal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unity in Diversity - Brings Us To the Top of the Sky beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 32.299,55) versteigert wurde.
