Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life Of Watermelons, Apples, Figs, Pomegranates, Flowers And Peaches, With A Young Girl Startled By A Monkey by Bernhard Keil. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 109,250.00 (€ 130,842.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bernhard Keil have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2001 the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet was auctioned for GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).

Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Watermelons, Apples, Figs, Pomegranates, Flowers And Peaches, With A Young Girl Startled By A Monkey von Bernhard Keil zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 109.250,00 (€ 130.842,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Bernhard Keil konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2001 die Arbeit A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet für GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.837,97) versteigert.
