Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work An elderly couple placing a wax seal on a letter by Bernhard Keil for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,700.38). This price was achieved in the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard Keil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An elderly couple placing a wax seal on a letter von Bernhard Keil für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.700,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernhard Keil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.837,97).
