Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work An elderly couple with a young girl holding a tambourine and a boy eating beans by Bernhard Keil. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,393.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard Keil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An elderly couple with a young girl holding a tambourine and a boy eating beans von Bernhard Keil zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.393,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernhard Keil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.837,97).
