Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A woman wearing a carnival mask and hat, holding a mirror by Bernhard Keil was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,355.00 (€ 5,982.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard Keil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.355,00 (€ 5.982,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
