Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of A Man Holding A Stick by Bernhard Keil. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,112.52), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard Keil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man Holding A Stick von Bernhard Keil zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.112,52) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernhard Keil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.837,97).
