Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Roman Street Scene With Peasants Eating And Drinking, Possibly Representing The Five Senses by Bernhard Keil was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard Keil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 119,250.00 (€ 194,837.97).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A recumbent shepherd boy with a sleeping dog by his side, a wicker basket at his feet im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 119.250,00 (€ 194.837,97).
