Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady by Bernard Lens III for GBP 750.00 (€ 832.58). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Lens III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait Aged 27 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 59,094.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady von Bernard Lens III für GBP 750,00 (€ 832,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Lens III erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait Aged 27 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 59.094,15).
