Auction result well in line with expectations

In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction The Japanese Aesthetic, which included the work Boat, Willow Tree and Duck under Clouds by Bernard Leach. The price achieved of GBP 562.50 (€ 692.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Leach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase With 'Leaping Fish' Design in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,346.80).
