Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two sketchbooks of drawings and watercolours of maritime subjects the first including: Yachts running downwind; A clipper in full sail; Deck studies; A warship flying the Royal Standard; River views; Fantone II; A liner, thought to be the itanic at by Bernard Finegan Gribble was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 562.50 (€ 680.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Finegan Gribble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The return of the Mayflower in July 2006 with an auction result of USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,862.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 562,50 (€ 680,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Finegan Gribble erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The return of the Mayflower im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.800,00 (€ 17.862,74).
