In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work The Return of The Mayflower, 4Th May, 1917 by Bernard Finegan Gribble. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,758.05), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Finegan Gribble - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The return of the Mayflower, which sold at auction in July 2006 for USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,862.74).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Return of The Mayflower, 4Th May, 1917 von Bernard Finegan Gribble zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.758,05) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
