Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bernard Dunstan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Morning, Volterra sold for GBP 4,335.00 (€ 5,169.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Dunstan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) in April last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Dunstan erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Morning, Volterra für GBP 4.335,00 (€ 5.169,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28).
