In April last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Albergo Stella, Morning by Bernard Dunstan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,280.59), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Dunstan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) in April last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Albergo Stella, Morning von Bernard Dunstan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.280,59) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Dunstan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior, Morning (Triptych) two 106.5 x 45.5cm (41 15/16 x 17 15/16in); the third 106.5 x 91cm (41 15/16 x 35 13/16in) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28).
