Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Untitled #1 1963 by Bernard Cohen. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,115.97). Admittedly, works by Bernard Cohen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grey Place in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #1 1963 von Bernard Cohen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.115,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grey Place im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44).
