Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Mutation by Bernard Cohen for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,348.72). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Post-War British Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Cohen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grey Place in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mutation von Bernard Cohen für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.348,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Cohen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grey Place im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44).
