Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Benode Behari Mukherjee for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,193.39). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works by Benodebehari Mukherjee from the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benode Behari Mukherjee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frying Fish in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 70,000.00 (€ 59,609.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Benode Behari Mukherjee für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.193,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works by Benodebehari Mukherjee from the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benode Behari Mukherjee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frying Fish im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.000,00 (€ 59.609,98).
