In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Hilltop) by Benode Behari Mukherjee. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,679.26), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benode Behari Mukherjee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frying Fish in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 70,000.00 (€ 59,609.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Hilltop) von Benode Behari Mukherjee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.679,26) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benode Behari Mukherjee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frying Fish im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.000,00 (€ 59.609,98).
