It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,515.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Benode Behari Mukherjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frying Fish in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 70,000.00 (€ 59,609.98).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Benode Behari Mukherjee wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works by Benodebehari Mukherjee from the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.515,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benode Behari Mukherjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frying Fish im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.000,00 (€ 59.609,98).
