Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Portrait Of Ramkinker Baij); Untitled (Portrait) by Benode Behari Mukherjee was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,386.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benode Behari Mukherjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frying Fish in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 70,000.00 (€ 59,609.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait Of Ramkinker Baij); Untitled (Portrait) von Benode Behari Mukherjee kam im März 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.386,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benode Behari Mukherjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frying Fish im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.000,00 (€ 59.609,98).
