A top price for Benjamin Foster - as previously expected
The work The Country Road by Benjamin Foster was sold in the FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE auction at Christies in New York in February 2002. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,785.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Country Road is the most expensive artwork by Benjamin Foster that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Country Road von Benjamin Foster wurde im Februar 2002 in der Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.875,00 (€ 6.785,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Country Road das teuerste Kunstwerk von Benjamin Foster, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
